The Spanish crew of the \u201cBribon MOVISTAR\u201c is in the lead. Followed by \u201eCo-Pilotes\u201c from France and the Hotel Princesa Yaiza also from Spain. Directly following the the favoured teams from France and Spain are, at present, two German teams: The \u201cProcedes Diva\u201c with helmsman Bj\u00f6rn Beilken and Martin Menzner\u2019s \u201cPike\u201c.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OenUxSjPxzM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n\u201cToday was the best day\u2019s sailing of this year. Strong winds, sunshine and perfect manoeuvres\u201d explained the helmsman of the \u201dBribon MOVISTAR\u201c Marc de Antonio. The team from Barcelona is sailing for the second time in the J\/80 and has already concluded the 2015 Spanish Championship with a third place. The crew of the \u201cPrincesa Yaiza\u201c, lying with a 4 point gap on second place, had also a very good day at sea. \u201cThe speed of our J\/80 was super. We already have trained last Wednesday with similar wind conditions. With strong winds everything on board worked perfectly\u201d, explained Maxime Mesnil, skipper of the French yacht.<\/p>\n<p>Following the leading trio on the forth place is the crew of Bj\u00f6rn Beilken. The team from Bremen also had fun on the first three competitions of the World Championship. \u201cIt was very windy, but was definitely sailable\u201d said skipper Bj\u00f6rn Beilken at the end of the first day\u2019s regattas. His brother, Alexander added \u201cThat was an awesome ride on the downwind leg, the field spread out here in all three competitions. We started each time consistently with a left tack and had much less waves as to the right to the right of the lane. With a bit of luck we could even have improved our position, in one race or another, by a place or two\u201d. Now, after the regatta, the guys from the Hansa City need repair work done, as one of boat\u2019s many the cables snapped in the stormy winds<\/p>\n<p>As the practice race on Sunday afternoon had to be terminated shortly after start, due to lack of wind and a following storm warning, the prevailing conditions for sailing today on the Kiel Fjord were fantastic.<\/p>\n<p>With an average westerly wind of 22 knots (5-6 Beaufort) and gusts of up to 26 knots the water-born competitors were certainly very much challenged.<\/p>\n<p>Martin Menzner and his crew are presently on the fifth place. The member of the Kieler Yacht-Club won the Kieler Woche two weeks ago and presently follows, 3 points down, the crew of Bj\u00f6rn Beilken\u2019s \u201dProcedes Diva\u201c.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.everysailrace.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Flag_of_Sweden_svg.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"  wp-image-991 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.everysailrace.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Flag_of_Sweden_svg.png\" alt=\"Flag_of_Sweden_svg\" width=\"26\" height=\"16\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>De svenska b\u00e5tarna ligger p\u00e5 21:a respektive p\u00e5 49:e plats.
