{"id":1251,"date":"2015-07-22T05:10:00","date_gmt":"2015-07-22T05:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.everysailrace.com\/?p=1251"},"modified":"2015-07-27T07:42:50","modified_gmt":"2015-07-27T07:42:50","slug":"laser-eurochamp-stipanovic-and-gunni-new-leaders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.everysailrace.com\/?p=1251","title":{"rendered":"Laser EuroChamp: Stipanovic and Gunni new leaders"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"twitter-share\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?via=Every_sailrace\" class=\"twitter-share-button\">Tweet<\/a><\/div>\n<p><strong>Laser Europeans at\u00a0the Bay of Aarhus, Denmark,\u00a0had strong western wind of 18-20 knots with gusts up to 25 knots \u00a0on the last day of qualification.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the Women\u2019s Laser Radial class Danish Sarah Gunni who has been taking the lead up until now was finally, however narrowly, superseded by Spanish Alicia Cebrian Martinez De Lagos \u00a0who had an excellent day on the water finishing 4th and 1st.<\/p>\n<p>Defending European Champion from last year, German Svenja Weger, has been consistent in her performance at this Championship and with an overall 6th place after today\u2019s races she is still in play for a spot on the podium.<\/p>\n<p>Defending European Champion Tonci Stipanovic from Croatia. Stipanovic managed to land an overall 1st place after taking home two 1st places in the\u00a05th and 6th qualification race.<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch giants, Nicholas and Rutger might have their own battle going on in this year\u2019s European Championship but Stipanovich is a force to be reckoned with and with three days of racing still to go it is still far too early to label the gold medal.<\/p>\n<p>3rd place is still governed by German Philipp Buhl who has been consistent throughout the qualification race taking home rankings within top ten in all six races.<\/p>\n<p>The leader in Men&#8217;s Laser Radial fleet is Marcin Rudawski from Poland who has been nothing less than superior \u00a0through the entire championship so far lead.<\/p>\n<p>2nd and 3rd position may change from day to day but 1st place seems to have been claimed by the skilled sailor who has a comfortable 11 points lead down to 2nd place which is held by Zan Luka Zelko from Slovakia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Today the fleets will be split into gold and silver and the finals will dominate the three remaining days of the Laser Standard and Laser Radial European Championships 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Resultat Standard <a href=\"http:\/\/www.everysailrace.com\/?page_id=1253\" target=\"_blank\">&gt;&gt;<\/a>\u00a0 Radial W <a href=\"http:\/\/www.everysailrace.com\/?page_id=1256\" target=\"_blank\">&gt;&gt;<\/a> Radial M <a href=\"http:\/\/www.everysailrace.com\/?page_id=1258\" target=\"_blank\">&gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.everysailrace.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Flag_of_Sweden_svg-e1436777814472.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-991\" src=\"http:\/\/www.everysailrace.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Flag_of_Sweden_svg-e1436777814472.png\" alt=\"Flag_of_Sweden_svg\" width=\"40\" height=\"25\" \/><\/a>\u00a0Emil Cedergardh fick placeringarna 14:e och 7:e p\u00e5 onsdagen och f\u00f6ll\u00a0till den 15:e plats.
